Resumo

ABSTRACT – From Angu de sangue, of Marcelino Freire, and Faroestes, of Marçal Aquino, aspects of the recent Brazilian fictional production are examined. With the aid of the concepts of irony and parody of Linda Hutcheon, problems of the current fiction are investigated –– discentering, displacement and violence. Furthermore, a dialogue between visual aspects and literature is considered.
