Resumo

ABSTRACT – This paper intends to discuss the situation of teachers concerning their position as legitimate or nonlegitimate readers. I dialogue with other authors’ ideas concerning this subject and bring to the discussion some considerations generated by my own research focusing literacy practices of Brazilian High School teachers.
