ABSTRACT: This work intends to analyse the figure narrator through which is represented the feminine image in the Ángeles Mastretta's novel, Arráncame la vida. It quests to identify the constitutive aspects of this figure that produce a
positive valorisation of woman, personified in enigmatical Catalina.
