Resumo


ABSTRACT – During Brazilian military dictatorship, composers and artists  played a relevant role in the defense of the ideals of freedom and citizenship. The analyis of the works and profesional life of Chico Buarque de Holanda, one of the most important names of the popular music, recovers those moments of political crisis and pays tribute to the composer on his 60 years of age.
