ABSTRACT: This paper intends: a) to identify the criteria used to categorize the contents in questions related to writing activities in 04 (four) didactic Portuguese language manuals used in the secondary education, considering especially textual/discursive genders; and b) to verify which linguistics studies conception these categories follow.
