ABSTRACT – This work aims to discuss the symbolic appearances of cruelty in the movie The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover . The goal is to present characters, action, time, space, colors and certain leitmotifs as the hallmarks of grotesque and parody discourse.
